Elpida's Bistro

This small, intimate Bistro is on the same site as the accommodation, neatly placed next to the villas and is open in the evenings. The Bistro is run by Nondas' son, Dimitri, who has a real knack for providing a relaxed, informal atmosphere more akin to eating at a friend's house than in a restaurant and he ensures there is plenty of time to chat and admire the view across the valley while enjoying a leisurely meal.

The kitchen cooks everything fresh to order from a varied menu of mouth-watering Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Although Nicky has moved on to pastures new (see the Reviews), her place has been more than capably filled by Vassillis. The Elpida’s menu has inspired several of the other restaurants in the area but is still the original and best for both food and atmosphere. A well-stocked bar and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of excellent music from jazz to blues and soul with a bit of everything else thrown in occasionally for good measure completes a memorable evening. It is even, we are informed, favourably mentioned in the 'Lonely Planet Guide'!
