WHERE ARE WE?

At last Google Maps gives us the chance to let those of you happy to look at aerial photographs a chance to see where we are on Corfu. The Google Map below is zoomed in as far as it will go. The swimming pool in the center of the screen belongs to the Tsaros Pool Bar, our neighbours. The white rectangle just to the right of the pool is the roof of our apartments with Elpidas just to its right and the new pool, if it was in this picture, would be just above the bistro.

Now click the minus sign three times to zoom out. To the top you can see San Stefanos bay and at the bottom you can see Arillas bay. The walk to the beach in both directions is possible, however the walk into San Stefanos is by far the easier.

Zoom out further to see more of Corfu; sadly there is no point clicking the map button as Google show no roads on Corfu.

If you have a big monitor use a new window to get a larger image and go have an explore or even better get Google Earth and have even more fun.

MORE GENERALLY

San Stefanos can be found on the North West coast of Corfu approximately one and quarter hours from the airport.

If you look carefully at the satellite picture behind this text* you should recognize the shape of the peninsula where we are located.

If you scroll right to the bottom of this page you will be able to see the image without the text and San Stefanos is on the top side of the little hook of land sticking out into the sea to the left.
